Two movies in this posting.
Mom and Dad enjoying breakfast out of a box at a roadside stop. We loved going on vacation so we could eat cereal out of those boxes! Chris is about a year old then. There are several clips of him walking in the woods and at the campsite. Wow was he cute and happy!
Another roadside stop and it looks like the Callo’s are with us. I don’t know where that was.
A baseball game with dad helping Tom to hit the ball. He scores a home run. Steve and Bob are in the act as well. A great shot of the Albin boys and some of the Callo’s (Ed and Roger) paying in a dugout.
This must be the year that Mom and Dad gave up camping and got the cabin to stay in. Uncle Warren had a cabin as well. Uncle Bob and Aunt Peg met us there as well. There are some clips of a golf game, looks like the brothers and Aunt Peggy and Steve as the caddy. –DAA
The best part of the vacation! The trip to the laundromat!
Swimming in the lake, Steve doing a jackknife from the diving board and swimming in. Bob jumping off and swimming in as well. Out and about on a day trip – A hatchery? With Uncle Warren, Aunt Gert, Patty, Warren and Jimmy. A small clip of a kickball game with our cousins. A day trip to Harris Hill, the gliding and soaring capital of America. Dad loved gliders.
Another day trip to the Taylor Wine Company. I don’t remember much about that day but I do remember drinking grape juice. That’s Brian watching the boxing assembly.
We are now at Watkin’s Glen state park having a picnic and walking around the park with our cousins. That’s Chris toddling around with Mom and Aunt Gert. Lots of scenic shots of the country side. Who took the movie of dad shaving at the kitchen sink in the cabin? [Me, I think. –SJA]
A day on the lake with row boats, Steve Bob and Ken in one, Brian, Ken and Dad in another boat. Mom’s rowing with me and Tom. Not one of us is wearing a life preserver! Guess they didn’t believe in them then? –DAA
